Day Wise Itinerary

Day Day 1

: Cochin to Munnar - Arrival & Transfer

Arrival at Cochin airport/ railway station, meet and assistance. Transfer to Munnar. Munnar is 1800 mts above sea level and also the place of South India's highest peak (Anamudi - 2695 mts). On the way visit Valara, On the way, visit Valara and Cheeyappara waterfalls; both of these are seasonal attractions, along with tea plantations. On arrival at Munnar, transfer to the Hotel. Check in at Hotel. Afternoon visit Rajamala (Eravikulam National Park), the best place to see Nilgiri Tahr(Nilgiritragus hylocrius) - the mountain goat of South India & Tea Museum . Evening have a short visit to Munnar town. You can see the beautiful tea estates like a green paradise. Overnight at the hotel. Please note that the park will remain closed from February 1 to April 1 to ensure a safe calving season

Day Day 2

: Munnar - Full Day Sightseeing

Morning after breakfast full day visit to Munnar. Mattupetty dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Pothamedu View Point, Blossom Park etc are some of the highlights of the sightseeing. Shopping & overnight at the hotel in Munnar

: Munnar to Thekkady - Transfer & sightseeing

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and drive to Thekkady, on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Thekkady. One of the world's most fascinating wildlife reserves. The Periyar wildlife sanctuary in Thekkady is spread across 777 sq km of which 360 sq km is thick evergreen forest. Noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wildlife and scenic beauty, the sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Sightseeing in Thekkady: Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary, Spice Plantation. Day Day 4

: Thekkady to Alleppey - Transfer & Sightseeing

After having breakfast, complete the check-out process at your hotel and embark on a journey to Alleppey. This day is entirely yours to explore and enjoy at your own pace. You will have a vehicle and driver at your disposal for local sightseeing, and your overnight stay will be in Alleppey.

Day Day 5

: Alleppey to Varkala - Transfer & Sightseeing

After breakfast checkout from hotel / Houseboat (As per your stay ) and drive to Varkala, famous for the isolated and uncrowded beach stands out for its unique hot mineral springs and breathtakingly beautiful landscapes in the form of tall rocky cliffs and strange land formations that majestically preside over the vast stretches of clean white sand. Major attractions in Varkala are Anjengo Fort, a national heritage monument built in the 17 th century by the Dutch to safeguard the coastline from foreign invasions. The strategic importance of this fort made it a vulnerable target for foreign powers for several centuries. Sree Janardana Swami temple & Sivagiri Mutt are other attractions in Varkala. Varkala is also a famous religious destination where Hindus perform obsequies for the departed souls. Arrive at Varkala and check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Varkala.

Day Day 6

: Varkala to Kovalam - Transfer & Sightseeing

After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Kovalam, on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Kovalam. Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. It has been a favourite haunt of tourists, especially Europeans, since the 1930s. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathing. The leisure options at this beach are plenty and diverse-sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages, special cultural programmes, Catamaran cruising etc. Sightseeing: Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Kuthira Maligai Palace, Zoo, Art Gallery (All places close on Monday except Padmanabhaswamy Temple).

Day Day 7

: Kovalam - Trivandrum Sightseeing

Start your day with a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum, (Thiruvananthapuram) literally means 'the abode of Anantha', the snake God. The main attraction of the city is the Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple dedicated to Vishnu (also known as Padmanabha) reclining on the snake Anantha. The imposing gopuram (gateway tower) and intricate sculptures of the temple make it a very popular tourist attraction. Later visit Napier Museum, an art and natural history museum which houses a collection of archaeological and historic artifacts, bronze idols, ancient ornaments, a temple chariot and ivory carvings. Sri Chitra Art Gallery (Closed on Mondays & Wednesday forenoons) displays the original paintings of Raja Ravi Varma which houses a collection of paintings from the Rajput, Mughal and Tanjore schools. The collection also includes unique copies of Indian mural paintings from prehistoric times down to the 18th century. Overnight stay at Kovalam.

Day Day 8

: Kovalam to Kanyakumari - Transfer & Sightseeing

After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Kanyakumari on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Kanyakumari. Captivating Kanyakumari the southernmost end of Tamilnadu and the lands end of India is one of the most popular tourist spots of the country. The beautiful town on the very tip of the Indian Peninsula is set on the confluence of the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. The town is at its best during Chaitra Poornima (full moon day in April), when the Sun and Moon are face to face at the same horizon. Other full moon days are also special when you can see the sunset and the moon rise almost simultaneously. Sightseeing in Kanyakumari: Vivekananda Rock, Kanyakumari Devi Temple. Day Day 9

: Kanyakumari to Rameswaram - Transfer and sightseeing

After breakfast checkout from hotel and transfer to Rameswaram, on arrival check in to the hotel. If time permits proceed for local Sightseeing and overnight stay at Rameswaram. Rameswaram is in the Ramanathapuram district in Tamil Nadu. It is located on Pamban Island separated from mainland India by the Pamban channel and is about 50 kilometres from Mannar Island, Sri Lanka. It is situated in the Gulf of Mannar, at the very tip of the Indian peninsula. Pamban Island, also known as Rameswaram Island, is connected to mainland India by the Pamban Bridge. Rameswaram is the terminus of the railway line from Chennai and Madurai. Rameswaram Sightseeing includes Ramanathaswamy Temple, Five Faced Hanuman Temple & Pamban Bridge.

Day Day 10

: Rameswaram - Day Trip to Dhanushkodi

After a satisfying breakfast at the hotel, our day unfolded with excitement as we set out on a day trip to Dhanushkodi. The journey was filled with anticipation, leading us to the enchanting destination known for its historical charm and natural beauty. Exploring the remnants of this coastal town, we were immersed in its rich history and breathtaking landscapes. The tranquillity of the night provided a serene backdrop, offering a peaceful end to our day filled with exploration and discovery.

Day Day 11

: Rameswaram to Madurai - Transfer & Sightseeing

After breakfast checkout from hotel and transfer to Madurai, on arrival check in to the hotel. If time permits proceed for local Sightseeing and overnight stay at Madurai. Madurai is a major city and cultural headquarters in the state of Tamil Nadu. Situated at an altitude of approximately 350 feet above sea level. Madurai is the third largest city by area. Located on the banks of River Vaigai, Madurai has been a major settlement for two millennia and is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Madurai Sightseeing includes Sree Meenakshi Amman Temple, Gandhi Museum & Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace .
